Angry Afc F**king Wimbledon

Right i know a couple of wombles who seem decent people and have actually said they dont like a section of their fans

But for a while now this club have been really pissing me off. To start with their fans think they are the biggest club in non league football and because they have won a league playing crap teams and winning 5-0 or so they think they are brilliant. Ok you may have a large support but there are teams around who have been around for years and they dont go saying how great they are eg Aldershot.

I dont want to go into the Coney Hall match that much as its been discussed to much. But the end of the matter is you cant blame our stewards when it was your fans that attacked a group of 15-16 year old kids on the terracing. AFC wombles said they would send over a group of 30 stewards but at 7.30 they pulled out of it ? The police where contacted but didnt want to know.

You cant blame the fact alcohol was being taken out of the bar as a blame. At the end of the day there was at least 30 of your fans who turned up looking for a fight with people they knew wouldnt want to.

And as for selling alcohol to kids this is not true as kids had brought it with them

I would rather beat wombles twice next year than win the league . I have a feeling we will win at home !

RANT OVER

Re: Afc F**king Wimbledon

Oh yeh , i will say some of your fans eg EXcelsisor have respect for clubs like bromley but some other of your fans all sneer at clubs like Bromley that have been around for quite a long time ?

As i said this doesnt apply to all wombles

Re: Afc F**king Wimbledon

Agreed with a lot of that, although the villians of the PCC semi fiasco were actually Coney and their holier-than -thou "we're a small club so it's absolutely not our fault" attitude.
Bizarrely AFC don't seem, on the whole, to be very confident of winning so much next year, which may be advantageous to them. I hope we beat them twice, but as long a we get promoted I don't really care as logn as we give a respectable showing.

Its just the fact that they have fans who are so ignorant to other non league teams !! it just really frustrates me !!!

In a way I can understand where their views come from, as the CCL isn't always the best advertisement for nl football, but the views and comments can get to me. Next year will be much more up their street. Good grounds, good fan bases and much mroe competition.

So you know a 'few' fans and decide to tarnish us all with the same brush? Well I'm glad to see you have a balanced outlook on life!

A few of our fans are arrogant, yes, but the majority of our fans know quite a lot about non-league football having been around when the team was in the southern league before.

And as you brought it up - AFC Wimbledon did not promise 30 stewards for an away cup tie. We've never supplied 30 stewards for any tie, be it Coney Hall, AFC Wallingford or anyone else. The onus is always on the hosting side and as it was, Coney decided to provide no marshalling at all and decided to leg it with the gate receipts.

And as for the playing side of things - you can only beat what is put in front of you and we've gone unbeaten for over a year. That's not the sign of a bad side is it?

TBH I think you're just complaining because of what happened at the Coney Hall match.

if you want a conversation with a more accurate portrayal of our fans try www.weirdandwonderfulworld.com guestbook! It has a lot more traffic and you'd find that most of us are a good bunch who certainly don't think we're the biggest club in the non=league by far!

Re: Afc F**king Wimbledon

Well I'd rather AFC Wimbledon to the lot playing at Milton Keynes.
We played them in a pre season friendly and their fans were, without exception, a good bunch.

As for thinking that you're too big for the league you're in, we (Newport County) did when we won the Hellenic League in our first season as non-league Newport AFC and what about Cardiff? The sleeping giants who deserve to be in the Premiership, too big to be in the 1st division (nice one Sam ).

Lastly, Hibees Boy, why do yo support so many teams and why them?
