View Full Version : Get rid of some forums?!
There are too many on the site to get through all of them. This is why I miss alot of things (FT Year awards for example), and im sure others do aswell.
I mean the lounge has about four sub forums. Surely they could all just go in the lounge its self? Dunno about anyone else but I reckon this forum has TOO many forums
There us quite a lot of subforums which can get a little confusing, but we run quite a lot of competitions which we like to keep seperate from the other threads.. However, I do see you're point. I'll bring it up with the mods and admins.. Any more feedback on this matter would be appreciated from other members. It will give us a better idea of what you all think about the number of forums on here.
there are alot of forums, however they separate different subjects and stop things getting confusing.so i think its a good thing.
Make it so there are fewer forums.

Get rid of the Chatter-bot as well, it's rubbish.

Welsh football surely falls into international?
why not have a forum for all the cup competitions, don't bother divisding them up
Tom-bot annoys me - it was good for the first couple of hours whilst it was a gimmick, but now I think that now people have had their fun it may be time to sell Tom as scrap.

I agree that all cups should be all in one instead of seperate.
But i think the welsh forum should stay, its normally very active because we have quite a few welsh members, i could understand you wanting to get rid of it if it wasnt used but it is, and quite often aswel :D

I agree with the TomBot thing but I'd prefer to have all the stuff for FT United, the Graphics league, Fantasy legends league, etc in their separate forums as it keeps everything together and makes it easier to find.
Music and TV and Graphics in the lounge needs to be seperate. It would be cahos else trying to find things you want to reply to.
I think Music and TV could be combined and Jokes put in the Lounge.
i believe that we could move some forums together into separate forums:
i.e.: scottish and welsh forums into something like Other British football
then underneath Other British football, there should STILL be the Welsh and the Scottish forums
UEFA Cup and CL forums should go into a forum called UEFA/European Football - (okay, so a title is a little problematic, as it might be confusing)
the lounge should stay as it is, OR music and tv simply combined (don't add jokes to the lounge, for it's too busy as it is there - sometimes you post there and before anyone else gets the chance to read it, it's halfway down the next page, :nono: )

the gallery forums should be under the "umbrella" of one gallery forum

Why not click on New posts whenever you come on line??
Some good suggestions on here. I'll take it all on board and see how we can make better use of the forums. I've got plenty of time tonight to sit down and work it out. Thanks for the input people!
We don't really need the Champions League and Uefa cup forums to be sperate, they could come under the Eurpean forum. I don't see why the Welsh forum should be scrapped as there are quite a few Welsh members on here and there are new poists on there everyday usually. I don't think there are too many forums though and whichever you get rid of or combine it's gonna upset a few people who use them so why not leave things as they are?

i'm not at all for scrapping that either - but we also have a scottish forum, and tho it's used somewhat less, i don't think we should scrap it either, all i said is put them together under "other british football" - this way neither will be lost, but it will be a lot "cleaner" on the main forum page...
you could even call the top forum "scotland and wales" - and then have subforums for each!
So 90% of you agree with me on this one, but needed me to say it didnt ya ;)
thats what i thot... all the galleries should be within each other rather than spread out...
but if they are going to stay then if u dont wanna look at them then simply collpase them by clicking the blue arrow.

In my opinion there are far too many forums. However you are on about scrapping the wrong forums. Just have one lounge off topic, cos I know i cant be ársed looking through all the sub forums. Don't think new members will feel like doing it either.
